Dispatch for Every Equipment Type We Run

We dispatch by equipment type, six of them, across the lower 48: dry van, reefer, flatbed and power only at a flat 6% of weekly gross, and box truck and hotshot at 8%. Pick your truck to see what your dispatcher handles.

Every equipment type gets its own dispatcher know-how, because a reefer appointment, a flatbed tarp job and a box truck delivery are different days. Pick your truck below to see exactly what your dispatcher handles, then compare all six side by side.

Fees are a flat percentage of the gross: what the broker pays, including fuel surcharge, detention and TONU. Lumper reimbursements don't count.

What we don't book today: placarded hazmat, oversize loads, step deck, RGN, cargo vans and Amazon Relay or other platform freight. We also dispatch only carriers running under their own MC number.

Run more than one trailer type?

Plenty of owner-operators switch between a van and a reefer, or pull power only most weeks and their own flatbed the rest. Your dispatcher can work loads across equipment types for you. Each load is charged at the fee for the equipment you actually haul it with.

Our equipment guides go deeper:

If you're deciding what to buy, the table above is a starting point, not an answer. Call us and talk it through with a dispatcher who books those loads every day. See how one dedicated dispatcher works with a one-truck carrier, or compare our 6% and 8% fees in detail.

FAQ

Questions about equipment types

Do you dispatch more than one equipment type for the same carrier?

Yes. If you run mixed equipment, your dispatcher can work loads across multiple truck types for you.

Which equipment type pays the most?

It depends on the lane and the week. Reefer and flatbed usually pay more per mile than dry van, but rates shift constantly. Your dispatcher quotes current market rates for your specific equipment and lanes.

What if my equipment type is not listed?

Right now we dispatch dry van, reefer, flatbed, box truck, hotshot and power only. If you're not sure where your setup fits, call us and we'll tell you straight.

Can I see rate examples before choosing an equipment type?

Yes. Our monthly rate report shows DAT's national averages for dry van, reefer and flatbed. There's no reliable national benchmark for box truck, hotshot or power only, so your dispatcher quotes what loads in your area are paying that week.

Do all equipment types have the same dispatch fee?

No. Dry van, reefer, flatbed and power only are a flat 6% of weekly gross. Box truck and hotshot are 8%, because those loads pay less per load, so your dispatcher books more of them each week to keep you moving.

Can I add a second truck with different equipment later?

Talk to us first. Our core focus is owner-operators running one truck. If you add a second truck, we'll tell you plainly whether we can dispatch it.
